ADXR

Description

The Average Directional Index Rating (ADXR) is a smoothed out version of a regular ADX curve. It is calculated as arithmetical mean of the ADX and its value several bars before. The number of bars used to find the past ADX value is equal to ADX period.

Input Parameters

Parameter Description
length The number of bars used to calculate the ADX.

average type

The type of moving average to be used in calculations: simple, exponential, weighted, Wilder's, or Hull.
